How save money during recession buying 2nd hand

Save money and buy 2nd hand clothes. This manner of shopping is becoming the rage now. All due to recession... It always pays to buy used clothes, especially for children or babies. They grow out of them so fast. Also, we need lots. They dirty them so quickly. Be careful, though...Buying clothes which have been seen in a suburb before may be embarrassing, when they were previously worn by adults. Not so, if they are vintage garments... Then, hardly anybody will remember the first owner of such clothes.
Purchasing 2nd hand for children carries very little risk of later embarrassment. There is an exception: Be careful with teenagers... Most of them don't like it, if they could be teased for wearing something seen before on their pals. It couldn't happen with a normal shirt or with anything without special design, though. Also, teenagers often want brand clothes. Go for them, when you find nice used Levis jeans, for example... Don't forget to ask your son or daughter, if Levis is what they want...
Also, don't think you know your kids... Their habits and fashion ideas can change from one day to the next. So, ask first!
Also, be extra careful with 2nd hand shoes... Footware must always be tried on.
